Writer's Block: Is your goose (or tofu) cooked?

Are you planning to host Thanksgiving at your place or will you travel to see family and/or friends? Do you prefer a traditional menu or something entirely different?

Ever since I moved to Seattle a million years ago, an old friend, the Master Chef and I have had an orphan's Thanksgiving as we ourselves have no family out here. We have varied between your traditional turkey and trimmings menu to one year having every meat possible except turkey.

As he went to the high falutin' chef school, his creations never disappoint. We get drunk early, the orphans show up and the TV is always blasting out the classics, be it the Indiana Jones trilogy or the original Star Wars.

Thank you for inviting me to another fabulous, tasty and drunken good year of gluttony. Sappiness: I'm truly thankful to have met you. You're awesome. /kill sap.

And thank you for coming. The secret to the Orphan's Thanksgiving is to invite the family we've made since moving out here.

You have an open invite for gluttony any weekend we're planning a group food thing, be it a Saturday dinner or a Sunday brunch with or without a holiday attached.
